Forward any email, ask anything

The thing you have a question about is already in your inbox. Forward it to hi@askpenpal.com and type the question on top. No copying, no pasting, attachments come along.

Kept for 30 days, then erased Forward what you like. What you send is erased after 30 days, automatically, and you never have to ask. There is no account to close, and you can delete everything sooner with one email.

How it works

No. 1

Forward an email, or just write one

Forward the email you're wondering about and type your question on top, or write with any question at all.

No. 2

Get a reply in under a minute

A clear, direct answer, back in the same thread. No dashboard to check, no tab to keep open.

No. 3

Reply again. It remembers.

Follow up like you would with a person. The conversation stays searchable in your inbox for years.

What a reply looks like

A real exchange, not a mock-up.

You forward a suspicious email and ask

Is this real? I got it this morning.

From: Support <no-reply@netfl1x-billing.com>
Subject: Your account has been suspended

We were unable to process your payment. Update your billing details within 24 hours to avoid cancellation.

Penpal replies, in about a minute

That is almost certainly a phishing scam, not a real Netflix email. Do not click the link or enter any card or password details.

How to tell:

  • The sender is no-reply@netfl1x-billing.com. Netflix never sends from a domain like that.
  • The link points to netfl1x-billing.com, with a "1" in place of the "i". Scammers use lookalike domains.
  • The pressure to act within 24 hours is a classic tactic.

What to do: just delete it. If you want to be sure your account is fine, log in as you normally do, not through this link.

Why email?

The email is already open

Forward the bill, the contract, the one that might be a scam. No copying it into a box somewhere else, and the answer comes back in the same thread.

Off the grid

Ship satellite terminals, expedition base camps, anywhere bandwidth is measured in messages, not megabits. Using Penpal from a boat

You just prefer email

It waits for you, it is searchable in five years, and it is already where you work. Some people want another tab. Some people want one less.

That's it. That's the app.
